DOE funding to secure domestic supply chain of critical elements and minerals

Total funding of 30 million from DOE (Department of Energy)’s Office of Science for 13 national lab and university-led research projects to develop new technologies aiming to secure and diversify domestic supply chain of critical materials and improve the reuse and recycling of key components of clean energy and high-tech applications such as rare earth and platinum group elements. The funding lasts up to three years in duration, with 10 million in Fiscal Year 2021 dollars.
