Envirostrategy 2030 sets concrete and measurable targets, which should be met by 2030 and for greenhouse gas emission a target “to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the sectors of emissions trading by 43%, and outside these sectors by at least 20%, compared to 2005” was set. The municipal waste recycling rate, is projected to increase up to 60% by 2030, and the land-filling rate to be reduced to less than 25% by 2035.

In addition, the Strategy lays out policy targets in various areas of concern such as access to water resources, sewage systems development, nature conservation, sustainable land management, environmental taxes and penalties, air quality, circular economy, environmental education and a number of other partial measures. The aim is to turn environmental policies into a tool widely adopted throughout the national policy documents. No specific budget.
